The Maui Aloha Aina Association, a 501c3 non profit, has announced a series of talks entitled "Bee Aware".
These talks taking places in four districts of Maui will explore the life of a Honey Bee through the eyes of a local Bee Keeper. Dennis Morihiro of Tropical Apiaries in Wailuku has been raising Bees on Maui for 22 years.
Dennis will share his experience and observations around the conditions that allow Bees to survive and thrive. Between the loss of critical habitat and the introduction of the Varroa Mite, the Bees have a real challenge.
